Amine

Amines are a chemical class of organic compounds built around a basic nitrogen atom bonded to alkyl or aryl groups. The amine is the broadest structural family in psychopharmacology, from which nearly every classical stimulant, psychedelic, opioid, and depressant scaffold on this site descends. Because the class is so general, its members span every psychoactive category rather than sharing a single effect profile.
