1cP-AL-LAD
1cP-AL-LAD is a novel semisynthetic psychedelic of the lysergamide class.1 It is structurally related to AL-LAD1 and is suspected to act as a prodrug for that compound, though this has not been confirmed by formal research. First identified in France in June 2021, it emerged alongside several other novel lysergamides as a designer drug.1 Very little anecdotal or scientific data is currently available regarding its effects.

Subjective Effects
Effects vary widely by individual, dose, and context.
Physical
Cognitive
In comparison to other psychedelics such as Psilocin, LSA and Ayahuasca, 1cP-AL-LAD is significantly more stimulating and fast paced in terms of the specific style of thought stream which it produces and contains a large number of potential effects.
Visual
Distortions
Geometry
The visual geometry that is present throughout this trip can be described as more similar in appearance to that of 2C-B or 2C-I than Psilocin, LSA or DMT. It can be comprehensively described through its variations as primarily intricate in complexity, algorithmic in form, unstructured in organization, brightly lit, colourful in scheme, organic in feel, multicoloured in scheme, flat in shading, soft in its edges, large in size, slow in speed, smooth in motion, round in its corners, unimmersive in depth and consistent in intensity. At higher dosages, it consistently results in states of Level 8A visual geometry over Level 8B.
Hallucinatory States
1cP-AL-LAD is capable of producing a full range of low and high level hallucinatory states in a fashion that is significantly less consistent and reproducible than that of many other commonly used psychedelics.
Auditory
The auditory effects of 1cP-AL-LAD are common in their occurrence and exhibit a full range of effects.

Pharmacology
Pharmacodynamics
1cP-AL-LAD likely acts as a partial agonist at the serotonin 5-HT2A receptor, which is believed to underlie its psychedelic effects. The substance is suspected to function as a prodrug for AL-LAD based on its 1-cyclopropionyl substitution, analogous to 1cP-LSD's proposed conversion to LSD. However, there is currently insufficient data to confirm this prodrug relationship definitively.2
Pharmacokinetics
1cP-AL-LAD is suspected to undergo metabolic conversion to AL-LAD via removal of its 1-cyclopropionyl group, though this prodrug mechanism has not been confirmed with sufficient evidence.2
Dangerous
Highest riskThese combinations are considered extremely harmful and should always be avoided. Reactions to these drugs taken in combination are highly unpredictable and have a potential to cause death.
Unsafe
AvoidThere is considerable risk of physical harm when taking these combinations, they should be avoided where possible.
Caution
Use cautionThese combinations are not usually physically harmful, but may produce undesirable effects, such as physical discomfort or overstimulation. Extreme use may cause physical health issues. Synergistic effects may be unpredictable. Care should be taken when choosing to use this combination.

Harm Potential
Addiction & Dependence
Psychosis Risk
May act as a potential trigger for psychosis in those with underlying psychiatric conditions.4 Those with a personal or family history of mental illness are advised not to use this substance outside of supervised medical settings. Adverse psychological reactions including delusions and panic attacks become more likely at higher doses.
Seizure Risk
Seizures are rare but have been reported.5 Risk is thought to be primarily in those genetically predisposed to seizures,5 particularly when accompanied by physically taxing conditions such as dehydration, fatigue, or undernourishment.
History & Culture
1cP-AL-LAD is a novel lysergamide that emerged as part of the designer drug market in the early 2020s.16 The compound is believed to have been first synthesized around 2020 or 2021, reportedly by chemists who were also developing other novel…
