Triazolobenzodiazepine

Triazolobenzodiazepines are a chemical class of organic compounds derived from the core benzodiazepine structure, fused with an additional triazole ring. This fused triazole typically raises potency and shortens the onset of action relative to the classical benzodiazepines. Like their parent family, they act as positive modulators at the GABA-A receptor, producing sedative, anxiolytic and hypnotic effects. The fused triazole ring on a benzodiazepine core is the defining feature of the class.
