Thienotriazolodiazepine
Also classified under: Thienodiazepine
Thienotriazolodiazepines are a chemical class of organic compounds derived from the triazolobenzodiazepine and thienodiazepine structures, combining both the thiophene ring swap and the fused triazole ring on a diazepine core. Members carry various substituents around this modified scaffold. They act as positive modulators at the GABA-A receptor and inherit the short onset and high potency of the triazolo family. The combination of a thiophene ring and a fused triazole is the defining structural feature of the class.
