Cycloalkylamine

Cycloalkylamines are a chemical class of organic compounds derived from the core arylalkylamine structure, in which an amine is attached to a saturated carbon ring rather than a flat aromatic one. This saturated ring gives the family a different geometry from the aromatic amines. Its principal psychoactive branch is the arylcyclohexylamine dissociatives, which act as NMDA receptor antagonists. The saturated carbocyclic ring bearing an amine is the shared feature of the class.
