5-MeO-DALT

5-MeO-DALT is controlled under the generic tryptamine-derivative category in Annexe IVA of the Royal Decree of 6 September 2017 regulating narcotic and psychotropic substances. Its N,N-diallyl substituents and 5-methoxy indole substitution fall within that category's specified substituents. The decree requires prior activity authorization for importation, exportation, transport, manufacture, possession, sale, supply, delivery, and acquisition of listed products; violations are punishable under the 1921 drugs law.

The current ANVISA controlled-substances page identifies RDC No. 1,036/2026 as the vigente (current) version. Its republished Annex I lists 5-MeO-DALT by exact name and chemical synonyms as Lista F2 item 50. Lista F is the list of substances whose use is prohibited in Brazil, and Portaria 344/1998 art. 4 prohibits production, manufacture, import, export, commerce, and use of proscribed substances, except authorized bodies and institutions conducting medical and scientific research. RDC 1,036 art. 2 entered into force on publication; the official text records DOU publication on 13 July 2026.

5-MeO-DALT is covered by Tabella I of Italy's Consolidated Act on Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances because the table encompasses indolic tryptamine derivatives with hallucinogenic effects. Unauthorised production, manufacture, sale, distribution and trafficking of a Tabella I substance are criminal offences; unauthorised acquisition, receipt or possession is also punishable where the statutory conditions show that it is not exclusively for personal use. Article 73 sets imprisonment of six to twenty years and a fine of €26,000 to €260,000 for the principal unauthorised Tabella I trafficking offences.
