Nitazepyne

Nitazepynes are a chemical class of organic compounds derived from the core nitazene structure, in which the flexible ethylamine sidechain is replaced by an azetidine or pyrrolidine ring. They otherwise retain the 2-benzylbenzimidazole scaffold of the parent nitazenes and act as agonists at the mu-opioid receptor. Their potency remains in the nitazene range, so the same extreme overdose caution applies. The cyclized amine sidechain is the feature that distinguishes them from the open-chain nitazenes.
