3,5-Dimethoxyamphetamine (3C-x)

The 3C-x compounds are a chemical class of organic compounds derived from the core amphetamine and scaline structures. They are the alpha-methylated homologues of the scalines, bearing the 3,5-dimethoxy substitution pattern on the benzene ring with a variable 4-position substituent. Most 3C-x compounds are serotonergic psychedelics that tend to be more potent and longer-acting than their scaline counterparts. They relate to the scalines exactly as the DOx series relates to the 2C-x series.
