MT-45

MT-45 is listed by exact name in Schedule I of 21 C.F.R. § 1308.11(b)(71), under DEA controlled-substance code 9560, and has been permanently scheduled since January 12, 2018. Under federal law, unauthorized possession, manufacture, distribution, dispensing, import, and export are prohibited, as is possession with intent to manufacture, distribute, or dispense. Research and instructional activities involving MT-45 are also federally controlled.

MT-45 is listed by exact name and as 1-cyclohexyl-4-(1,2-diphenylethyl)piperazine in Annex No. 3, List No. 3 of narcotic substances, of Government Regulation No. 463/2013 Coll. Substances and preparations containing List No. 3 narcotics may be used only for limited research and scientific purposes and very limited therapeutic purposes specified in a handling permit. Section 4 of Act No. 167/1998 Coll. requires a permit to handle addictive substances and preparations unless the Act provides otherwise.

MT-45 is named in Schedule 2 Part I of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 as a Class A drug and is placed under the corresponding Schedule 1 and designation controls in Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The Act prohibits possession, possession with intent to supply, production, supply, offering to supply, import and export unless authorised; domestic possession, production and supply require a Home Office licence in Great Britain and a Northern Ireland Department of Health licence in Northern Ireland. The Home Office administers import and export licensing throughout the United Kingdom. The Class A classification took effect throughout the United Kingdom on 11 March 2015; initial Schedule 1 and designation placement took effect on that date in England, Wales and Scotland and on 13 May 2015 in Northern Ireland.
