Quazepam

Quazepam is federally controlled by exact name as a Schedule IV depressant under 21 C.F.R. § 1308.14(c)(52), under controlled-substance code 2881. The classification has applied since March 25, 1986 and covers any material, compound, mixture, or preparation containing any quantity of quazepam, including its salts, isomers, and salts of isomers where chemically possible, unless specifically excepted or listed in another schedule. Federal law prohibits unauthorized possession, manufacture, distribution, dispensing, and possession with intent to manufacture, distribute, or dispense; the simple-possession prohibition does not apply when the substance was obtained directly or pursuant to a valid prescription or practitioner order, or when possession is otherwise authorized. This federal classification does not establish the separate law of any state, the District of Columbia, territory, tribal jurisdiction, or locality.
