Pfbt
Fluorotropacocaine (pFBT) is a tropane derivative that acts as a local anaesthetic while also producing stimulant effects, with roughly 30% the stimulant potency of cocaine but comparable potency as a local anaesthetic. It was investigated as a radiolabelled agent for receptor binding studies but never adopted for that purpose. First detected by the EMCDDA in 2008, it has since circulated as a designer cocaine analogue sold in "bath salt" powders, typically combined with other stimulants such as caffeine, dimethocaine, desoxypipradrol, or substituted cathinones. It is considered habit-forming.
